Why did you choose to become a teacher? My uncle and cousins were teachers/coaches and I fell in love with the proffesion while hanging out with them.
What is the most challenging part about teaching? Dealing with the politics in education and the apathy of both teachers and students.
As a teacher, what are the most important qualities that a student should possess to achieve success? Heart. You should never give up, and always give 100% in everything you do.
Your advice to the upcoming freshman: Don't get caught up in being part of the in-crowd. Be your own person and stay off of drugs.
What class or classes do you teach and what will the class be studying and learning?
Government-- We are going to be learning about the Executive Branch.
Wellness-- Sex, Drugs, & P.E.
How much and what kinds of homework can your students expect? Most everything is done in class. Kids will have to take home study guides for tests though.
Special Projects that will be completed throughout the semester: The Presidential Physical Fitness Test (Wellness), President & Holocaust projects (Gov.), and mock congress (Gov.).
