Why did you choose to become a teacher? I enjoy learning about many things and helping others to learn is fantastic. I enjoyed my high school days and the teachers were great as was the way the they opened the doors for me.

What is the most challenging part about teaching? Realizing there are no million dollar checks in my name! Actually, the most challenging part is trying to help students realize how important an education really is in today's world.

As a teacher, what are the most important qualities that a student should possess to achieve success? Willingness to work, completing all work, do it right the first time, a positive belief in themselves.

Your advice to the upcoming freshman: You only get 4 years to attain a high school education that must last you your entire lifetime. Use those years very wisely.

What class or classes do you teach and what will the class be studying and learning? General Biology 1-we study the basic processes that allows life to exist on this planet. Advanced biology 2-we study ecology(aquatic ecology) genetics, + comparative anatomy (with dissections)

How much and what kinds of homework can your students expect? Gen. Bio. 1-homework, oh yes, and it is graded. there is more homework than most of the other classes. Advanced Bio. 2-some homework is required-genetics requires quite alot of homework.

Special projects that will be completed throughout semester: The gen. Bio 1 classes must do a wild flower collection.

What is the best way for your students to communicate with you? Just ask! Talk to me!

Do you offer tutoring? If yes, when and where? Yes-anytime a student needs help, we can schedule time after school.

Other Comments: I also do special tutoring for the Gateway Exam.
