I like high school. I liked to substitute in high school while on college breaks. What is the most challenging part about teaching? Keeping uninterested students focused. As a teacher, what are the most importants qualities that a student should possess to achieve success? Pay attention to instructions. Learn how they learn-visual or by reading. Know that learning is a life long process. Your advice to the upcoming freshman: Don't stop in the middle of the halls to talk. Don't get caught up in all the drama. Ask questions when you don't know the answer-admit that you don't know. Apply yourself from DAY 1-your high school transcript COUNTS. You can start fresh in high school to be successful. What class or classes do you teach and what will the class be studying and learning? Computer Applications: Word Processing, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Page Maker, and Front Page Advanced Applications: A review of: Word processing, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Page Maker, and Front Page. Includes DISCOVERING COMPUTERS from who uses them to certifications in the computer world. Automated Accounting: The basics for all accounting proceduers. The accounting procedures for a one owner business, a partnership, and a corporation. How much and what kinds of homework can your students expect? All work must be completed in class. Special projects that will be completed throughout semester: Applications: Company simulations and a booklet. Advanced Applications: Design a Business and a Career Booklet. Automated Accounting: Simulations for a proprietorship, partnership, and corporation. What is the best way for your students to communicate with you? Talk to me. Do you offer tutoring?
