Flight Annual Staff 07-08

The staff has been exteremly busy this year with creating the 236 pages for the 2008 yearbook. They just finshed their last deadline Febuary 22nd. The hard copy book has 40 pages of color. An index was also included this year. A final pre-sale for the 2008 yearbook was held during lunch Feb. 13-14. A total of 875 books have been ordered. All students who did not buy their book early will have to wait for a chance to get the book when they come in around the middle of April. The cost for the yearbook will then be $65 cash, no checks. The sale will also be on a first come first serve basis. The front cover design is very unique, and all students will want one for themselves when they see it.

Now the yearbook staff is preparing for the 28th annual talent show. The theme for this year's show is "Gold Star Talent". The show will be presented to the school Friday, March 14th during 1st and 2nd blocks. The night show will begin at 7pm in the Little Theater. The annual staff's comedy skits between acts will be a parody of student and teacher life here at VHS.

The staff is embarking on a new technological adventure this semester. They will be designing a photo CD to compliment the 2008 yearbook. It may have some video footage with it; but it would be a very limited amount. The staff will be using lots of photos that were not used in the book plus most of what was used in the book in the design. We will be able to include all spring sports and activites that we cannot use in the regular hard copy yearbook until next year. This will be a terrific asset for the senior class since any senior who participates in spring sports or events will have these pictures on the CD. This CD will not be available until May. Any student who paid for their yearbook in full prior to Feb. 13th will be given the CD.
