Course:  Culinary Arts I

            Grade Level:  10, 11,12

            Credit:  2 units

           Fee:  Will be charged 10 dollars.

This course gets students ready for the outside world in food service industries. Students will be graded on their performance and effort. This is a hands on class and students will have to participate to get full credit. Starting out, students will be learning from the book. They will be learning things about how to be healthy and safe while working with food. Students should be very excited about joining this course, because it is a very fun and exciting class!

Course:  Culinary Arts II

Grade Level: 10, 11, 12

          Fee:  Will be charged 10 dollars.

This course, which is the second level of Culinary Arts, prepares students for gainful employment and/or entry into post-secondary education in the food production and service industry.  Content provides students the opportunity to acquire marketable skills by examining both the industry and its career opportunities and by developing food preparation and service and interpersonal skills.  Laboratory facilities and experiences, which simulate commercial food production and service operations, offer school-based learning opportunities.
